Good value for 3 star hotel. Does require some up decor updating is. carpets, mattresses maybe air con but did have a fan and door did open. I liked the quirky decor in the main parts of the hotel a mix of old and new. Staff where polite and friendly. Breakfast food was nice and fresh and plentiful. Bar wasn't open for food and drinks when we were there but it's the owners last season as, retiring so will be interesting to see what the new owner does. Hopefully they don't change too much. Accommodation overlooks the lake and is very central to town but train line does go in front and noise may bother some people. The summer card included with Hotel Seehof was amazing value and allowed us to use the cable cars, bus, trains and other attractions every day. It would have been quite costly to pay for these individually.

Excellent location right by the lake and near railway station. Short walk to bus station and plenty of restaurants nearby

The Seehof hotel is more a B&B. It does not give any other food or drink service which is a shame. The cleanliness of the room is to be desired. Radiator in bathroom is thick with dust!! Noise from train (although expected) was throughout the night and the church bells start at 7am through to 10pm hourly!! The people who run the Seehof are so lovely they just need to improve the rooms as very basic

Great location on the lake, was a bit noisy at times but we knew this from previous reviews and it didn't bother us. We had a mountain view room that was small but adequate. It was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. My only complaint would be that our room seemed to get very warm but there was a fan, so that helped!

The summer card is a must for any trip to the salzburg region.
