Show moreAir con not working, changed to new room after 2 days of complaining and the hotel unable to fix. New room, ceiling fan only worked on x fast setting and shower didn’t drain away, hotel didn’t come to fix despite requesting them do so twice
Show moreAt first the room looks very nice, but closer up it appears very tired. Needs a refurbishment, new mattress! Etc. there is paint where paint shouldn’t be. Rooms smelt from time to time of sewers. Needs to look and feel more 5 star!! The cleanliness of the buffet restaurant (outside) and the staff needs real attention. It’s dirty and dated, the staff have been at times rude and not attentive. We waited a whole hour for a coffee at breakfast. The food available through the complex was amazing, always enough to choose from. Our favourites were RIO and the teppanyaki restaurants, service and food was exceptional. The entertainment was excellent around the pool, white party and the evening was excellent but repetitive if there for two weeks. The TUI rep was amazing. We arranged two trips with him and both were amazing. We had a little problem regarding photos on the last trip and the rep contacted them for us and it was all sorted before we got home. What really made the holiday special was the attentiveness of staff at ‘Royalton’. A special mention to Angela. She was simply amazing. She arranged a ‘Happy Anniversary’ banner on our door for when we arrived. She was contactable throughout via whatsapp with any requests or problems. Such as extra water, drinks milk in our room. We went on a trip on our anniversary, the day after Angela messaged me to check where I was, then sent me photos of a surprise in our room. Our room was decorated with balloons, flowers, champagne and the jacuzzi was filled up ready for us to enjoy. This lady went above and beyond for the whole two weeks even on her days off. She is approachable, friendly, caring and has an amazing bubbly personality. Never change ‘Angela’ who are simply amazing at your job. Thank you for such an amazing holiday.
Show moreAccommodation was good nice and clean, lots of choice with food and drinks. If we had an issue it was resolved promptly. Only issue check in took a while we queued at the main reception and then were told Tui customers had to check in at guest services, the check I. Took time where I appreciate they booked us into some of the à la cart restaurants but we’d just arrived and wanted to just get to our room. We were also not asked when we would like to visit the restaurants and one was booked for us that evening, which by the time we got to our room we kissed the timeslot.
Show moreHad some issues when we checked in. Our room was nice however smelt a bit and the bed sheets were really damp. Also the tiled floors were damp and slippery. We stayed in this room the first night as our little boy was very tired after a long day travelling. In the morning we went to see the front desk and explained our room was really not acceptable like this. They were very helpful and moved us to a different room that afternoon. The new room was great with no issues.
