    While the hotel itself was lovely, we were disappointed that it did not meet the standards we have come to expect when booking through TUI. One of the main issues was the lack of evening entertainment, which was either very limited or non-existent throughout our stay. We had specifically booked a two-bedroom apartment with disabled access. However, upon arriving at the hotel at 11:40 pm, we were allocated a one-bedroom apartment. This was unacceptable, as it meant my wife and I would have had to sleep in the same room as my mother, who was using the sofa bed. We immediately raised this with reception and explained that our booking clearly stated a two-bedroom apartment. Although the hotel subsequently moved us to a two-bedroom apartment, this accommodation did not have a disabled-access bathroom as requested. As a result, my wife had to assist my mother with showering throughout the holiday. This was uncomfortable and embarrassing for both of them and, more importantly, had a significant impact on my mother’s dignity and independence. In addition, while the hotel advertises itself as having disabled access, we found the accessibility to be inadequate in practice. My mother uses a walking aid, yet she was frequently required to walk long distances around the hotel to access different facilities. For example, there was no direct access from the restaurant to the pool area. Instead, she had to use two lifts and walk the length of the hotel, which was both exhausting and inconvenient for someone with limited mobility. Overall, while the hotel itself was pleasant, the issues surrounding our accommodation and the lack of practical accessibility significantly affected our holiday experience. We do not feel that the facilities and service provided matched the expectations set by TUI or the requirements specified in our booking.

    “Toch tegengevallen.”

    Van de 2 weken iedere dag hetzelfde eten. Dat heb je dan wel gehad. Luidruchtige gezinnen die de borden afladen en vervolgens kan de helft weggegooid worden, als het niet al op de vloer ligt. Lange broek, geen teenslippers, geen tanktops e.d., maar de eerste 2 dagen waren wij de enigen die dat deden. Daar zijn we toen ook maar mee gestopt. Geen ballen in het zwembad en een afgezonderd stuk terras voor de rokers, Er werd dus wel gebald en als je op het terras zoveel mogelijk uit de rook wilde zitten, kon je beter op het rookgedeelte gaan zitten, want daar zaten de rokers in ieder geval niet. Sterker nog, het personeel zat ook gezellig recht onder het 'verboden te roken' bord te roken. Airco in de kamer was eigenlijk een ventilator, want er kwam zeker geen koelere lucht uit. Nagevraagd bij de receptie, maar die zetten ze alleen aan als het weer daar aanleiding toe geeft. 28 graden in de kamer is dus schijnbaar nog geen aanleiding. Transfer duurde anderhalf uur, maar dat wisten we van tevoren. Tui had besloten om onze originele vlucht te annuleren en ons op een andere, latere vlucht te zetten. Je moet alleen wel op tijd je kamer uit en langer blijven kon alleen tegen flinke betaling, terwijl de kamer gewoon leeg stond. Het werd dus een nachtvlucht en dan gaan de mensen hun rugleuning achterover gooien, zodat je nog minder ruimte hebt. Volgende keer geen vliegvakantie....
