All the staff were delightful. On arrival the receptionist was so pleasant and welcoming. Definitely started the holiday off in the best way. Turned out it was the owner but all the staff were equally as pleasant. The hotel was quite a trek to get to so I would imagine that more mature guests would struggle with going up and down it to get to the town, though you could get a taxi. I used it as an opportunity to burn off some food and drink calories :) The accommodation itself was very clean with daily cleaners and bedding and towels. The pool was very clean but they were very strict with no food or drinks to be brought unless they were purchased from them. You weren’t allowed to bring your own water bottles which I felt was a bit harsh but understandable I suppose. At the pool there was an unofficial sharing of lilos and ********** etc that were kept in a corner and you used as needed and then returned. Guests left them when they were leaving so it was always being added to. I thought this was a great idea. We checked out at 11am and our lift to the airport wasn’t until 4:50pm. We had a swim and I asked was there showers to get refreshed. We were allowed to use the staff facilities but there was no hairdryer and it was a tight squeeze of a shower with no curtain and you had to hold the shower head in your hand. It would have been wonderful if they had an area that guests could use to have a good shower, dry and get changed. The hairdryers in the accommodation were excellent. No need to bring your own.

There is a limited range of accommodation in Lixouri. It was functional, although the bathroom smelt and the fridge leaked. Lovely balcony with sea views. I did not appreciate a member of staff barging into my room, when I was asleep on the first afternoon, despite me locking my door from the inside. I did raise this with the rep as it felt very unsafe for a single woman alone. She escalated to the hotel, but nothing was done and I did not get an apology from them.

Das Hotel liegt am Berg und man muss in die Stadt zum Strand und Essen bergab gehen was für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung schwer ist, und zurück muss man bergauf!

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for in terms of offering peace and quiet, with little to do, but with a good bar service by the pool.

Lift broken. No food after 4pm.
