A beautiful and outstanding hotel. The grotto and spa is gorgeous. The staff/team are exceptional. The rooms are big and beautiful. We would happily stay again. The is definitely a 5* luxury hotel.

Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed at (and there’s been a few!) everything and I mean everything was spot on - people were friendly and helpful, rooms was excellent and the grounds were perfect! We will go back again!

The hotel was very 5 star. Mable floors, chandeliers everywhere. Staff were terrific and could not be more attentive. Views from the hotel dining room were wonderful. Same for the gardens overlooking the lake. The swimming pool was really good. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Everything was very clean. Great pool towels. I paid for an upgrade. This was for a garden view, (the lake view was very expensive). The view consisted of a grassy bank with a large tree and a bush. In my view, this was not worth the extra. The hotel was about one mile from Stresa. The road did not have any pavements so walking into town was too dangerous as the road was very busy. The hotel provided a taxi, approx every hour to take customers into and return from Stresa. There were no bus stops near the hotel so we had to use the taxi every day. The down side to this is there was a lot of hanging about. We went to the hotel bbq. (It is on every Thursday). It was held on a terrace overlooking the lake. The views were fantastic and watching the chefs was quite a performance. We felt some of the food was overcooked and not up the wonderful breakfast experience. We felt that it was overpriced at €80 each with drinks extra.
