We have stayed in the same hotel three times prior to this holiday and was fully expecting a fantastic holiday as usual. How wrong we were. There was not enough staff on reception, so check on took hours (without exaggeration) and both staff and travellers were fully fed up by the end. On entering our room all I can say is its tired and ready for an upgrade. Although it was supposed to have been cleaned, there was litter under the skin area and similar under the dressing table in the bedroom. Towels were threadbare, had holes in and frying. The shower had clearly been repaired previously and simply hung from the ceiling without a fitting to hold the shower head. So all holiday we had to shower holding onto the shower head. Toilet roll was not replenished regularly and we had to ask for more from reception. Bins were not emptied regularly and even though we put the do not disturb sign on the door one day out of the 10 we stayed there, room service entered our room and disturbed us. The night entertainment started at 10pm each night which felt too late considering there were young families there and if you did want to retire early for the night, could not sleep for the loud sounds from the entertainment. Food was below par and not as previously encountered. There were no themed nights, plates were dirty and tables were often dirty at the start of service clearly having not been cleaned from the previous service. We also found Spanish holiday makers very rude towards British travellers and often pushed in queues and serviced by hotel staff still which infuriated people. Not a good experience and we will not be returning to this hotel again.

Amazing hotel Very clean Food amazing Helpful staff Loads to do Entertainment was great throughout the day and also amazing at night . Gift shop wasn’t the best and didn’t sell bread butter , sandwich stuff , a little pricey on a he snack like chocolate and biscuits. Will definitely be going back 100% amazing Bus too and from the other 2 hotels attached to the Polynesia Hotel. 10 minute walk to the beach . Bus services are cheap enough to Malaga and fuerengerola
