    We really enjoyed having a choice of several restaurants, which gave us plenty of options during our stay. However, we did end up eating out on two evenings as we found the buffet food to be quite repetitive. There were also a few issues with service in the buffet restaurant. Our drinks orders were incorrect on several occasions, and the coffee machine was frequently out of order. We also found that food was not always replenished quickly enough, particularly during busy periods. On a positive note, the breakfast selection and quality were very good. Unfortunately, we were overcharged for a gin and tonic at the indoor bar, and getting the refund was unnecessarily difficult and took a lot of effort. The bar near the pool was a nice addition and the staff were great. However, the opening times seemed to vary from day to day, and the bar frequently ran out of certain ingredients, which was frustrating. One other point that would have been helpful to know in advance was that the pool-area toilets were undergoing refurbishment. The work was quite noisy throughout the day, and some prior notice would have allowed us to manage our expectations. The gym equipment was generally good, but there were no wipes available to clean the machines after use, which was disappointing. The air conditioning also appeared to be either ineffective or unavailable, making the gym extremely hot. It was so warm that simply standing there felt like enough exercise to burn calories. Overall, there were some good dining, bar and fitness facilities, but consistency in service, availability, communication and comfort could definitely be improved.
