    Recommended

    The accommodation was great, more info about bathroom set up would have been useful, bit strange bath in middle of room with no screens. I know hotel can’t help it but information on the seaweed problem would have been helpful also

    The hotel itself was actually a lovely place: clean, with a nice atmosphere and beautiful countryside surroundings. Unfortunately, our stay was seriously affected by problems with the rooms. We had to change rooms twice. The first room had an extremely strong smell of sewage and blocked drains — far beyond what would be acceptable. The hotel moved us to a second room, which was initially great. Unfortunately, the toilet then overflowed and flooded the room with around 5 cm of water. We stayed in this room overnight, but even by midday the following day, nobody had come to clean or deal with the flooding, so we had to move rooms again. Our third room was nice, clean and free of any unpleasant odours, so we finally had a comfortable room. The biggest disappointment, however, was the restaurant. There were no allergen labels on the food, and I could not find a chef or anyone sufficiently knowledgeable to ask about ingredients. There were also not enough clean cutlery and spoons available, which created a significant risk of cross-contamination, especially for someone with coeliac disease or a serious gluten intolerance. On some mornings, there was no gluten-free bread available at all. For people with food allergies, coeliac disease or other dietary intolerances, I would therefore not recommend this hotel until these issues are properly addressed. There were members of staff who genuinely tried to help, particularly Angela and Joel, and I really appreciated their efforts. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lack of effective action and follow-up from management, which made an already difficult stay much more frustrating.

    Check in was chaotic. Cockroaches in room on multiple days. Asked for room to be cleaned on day of daughters wedding.no show. Asked for bellboy transport to take daughter and 2 members of bridal party to bridal suite on morning of wedding.no show. They had to walk, in nightwear, carrying all clothing and wedding dress. Shocking service for so called 'Diamond club'.

    The room was lovely, but the water was cold in the shower and had to run it for 10 minutes every time before use. I wasn't able to use my electric hair utensils as there was no power even though we bought the plug adapters. Food quality awful and mostly cold, and some staff were rude and not accommodating at all.
