    Recommended

    Money theft from Room safe in Room 1 - hotel reimbursed stolen money Room safe locked out in Room 2 - considered to be from multiple attempts to gain access, not by family. Room card was taken by cleaning staff and on the same day the room safe locked out. Co-incidence? Hotel was reducing available food establishments during the second week of stay. It was like watching a hotel die in front of you. Poor lift availability on day of arrival- ended up carrying suitcases to 4th floor. 3 x separate lift areas were out of service. Requested to move rooms part way through stay due to pending air conditioning works. This was an inconvenience and we lost a day waiting for new room availability. Room 4025 to room 6028. Was upgraded to a family suite but we were able to watch the wildlife from first room. Took almost 2 weeks to process 2 x trip refunds. On site rep had completed the required paperwork. Only on day of return (after 3 times of chasing) were the confirmation emails received.

    The hotel was beautifully located. It was dated and the refurbishment started whilst we have been at the property. The service was average, not what we've been expecting from a Riu hotel (this was our 5th stay at their hotel in the Caribbean). My daughter cut her toe in the pool due to missing tiles and required first aid to be administered. overall it was a mixed experience.

    Overall very tired. Rubbish and old glasses left in hallways and around common areas. Broken glass on the tennis court. When I asked about it they explained that because they were closing some staff had already gone off contract and they were too short staffed to manage. Disappointed I paid full price for that??

    Rooms were dated but clean .Music by pool really loud , more for younger people . Pool not kept really clean and lots of tiles missing . Wild life around pool area was amazing .
