    Recommended

    The Tui Blue Zante Maris is incredible in every way. All staff (resturant, bar, entertainment, reception etc) are exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Different restaurants, pools and beach right there is brilliant.

    Our room was away from our friends although we indicated we would like connecting/close rooms - we felt we were a bit isolated from the main hotel activities - eg the main pool and bars. The hotel manager did try to arrange our rooms closer together but it was after 2/3 days and by then we were both settled in and unpacked. We were away on a trip on the day we should have moved rooms which meant changing rooms late in the day - so we stayed where we were.

    The staff at the hotel were exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and despite working incredibly long hours, they remained friendly, welcoming and professional throughout our stay. They are a real credit to the hotel. While the accommodation is advertised as five-star, and I would certainly rate the staff and food at that level, unfortunately the condition of the hotel itself does not currently reflect a five-star standard. Although the hotel is clean, many areas are looking tired and would benefit from significant maintenance and refurbishment. There were a number of noticeable issues, including broken pathways around the pool, rotten woodwork at the bottom of the bathroom fittings and heavily marked paintwork. The concrete finish around the pool was also very rough and would catch and pull at swimwear when getting out of the water. We stayed in a swim-up room with a pool view. While this was a lovely feature, the soft loungers were heavily stained and had broken zips, and the pool itself had significant staining around the waterline. These details unfortunately detracted from what should have been a premium experience. The beach itself was lovely; however, it did not appear to be cleaned or raked in the mornings, which was surprising for a five-star resort. One other concern was the behaviour of a member of staff at the pool bar. I did not get his name, but I assumed he may have been in a supervisory or management role as he wore a brighter blue shirt than the other team members. On several occasions, his manner towards the staff was extremely rude and, at times, uncomfortable to witness. It was particularly disappointing to see how visibly upset some members of staff appeared to be as a result of the way they were spoken to, especially given how incredibly hard the team works. Overall, we could not fault the staff, service or food, and these were undoubtedly the highlights of our stay. However, the hotel itself is in need of investment and refurbishment to bring the facilities and accommodation back to the five-star standard guests would reasonably expect.

    Definitely not a 5star hotel . Needs some major tlc and updating . Gym very small , equipment broken, Rusted skme not suitable for use. Pools had dry algae all around , needed cleaning, first night we had stains on bedding And was left no towels in our room , I had to go reception to ask for sheets to be changed amd towels.
