Our room was very nice and the air conditioning worked well. Nice large balcony. A good bathroom with a large shower, his and her sinks and a bidet. Worth noting that the bed was far larger than a double as advertised which was great. They were plenty of sun beds on the lovely beach, not so many by the pool, but that didn’t bother us as the pool was very cold and there was a lovely breeze by the beach. The food was excellent with lots of choice every night and some really special things to try on the themed nights. The only disappointing thing was the culinarian. Service was extremely slow, and the food was not actually as good as in the main restaurant. Our fish was overcooked and the menu itself was uninspiring. All the stuff in the restaurant bars and reception were very friendly and helpful and the evening entertainment was also good. We had a really enjoyable holiday and we’re definitely recommend the Matta village hotel to our friends and family.

We loved Matta Village! It’s looking a little tired in places, but it’s in a great location and the staff are second to none!

Aside from our room having noisy AC and a shower door that had seen better days, the accommodation was lovely. I’m not expecting perfection and the rustic traditional nature of the building outweighed the issues in the room. The dining area was lovely as was the outdoor sheltered area and the pool and the beach area were all good. Also the TUI reps Christine and her team do a wonderful job as do the chefs and waiting staff.

Superb staff. Gorgeous food. Brilliant pool. So close to the beach. Fantastic to save our beds near the pool as my husband is disabled and it was near the pool and our room greatly appreciated. Relaxing holiday.
