Show moreThe accommodation is not a TUI Blue experience, after staying in a few TUI Blue resorts we felt really let down by this one. The room needed updating and it was in awful condition - plastering was a mess and coving missing, the TV cut out constantly and the rooms were not cleaned daily (not even 5 days a week with the cleaners taking 2 days off - I had to empty our bins at one point during the holiday) and when I asked for towels due to us forgetting the cleaners had been off I was made to feel like an ********** and an inconvenience even though I was happy to go and collect them from wherever stored them. The pools all had tiles falling off (that is fair enough with a lot of use BUT this was a lot of tiles in some pools especially the baby pool) meaning I didn't want my son in the smaller pools where he could reach the bottom and I had to inspect the sides so he didn't hurt himself. The main pool was murky for the first 4 days and we even heard other guests asking if it was safe to swim in. The food was okay and the best night was the canarian night the other nights the food was average and we struggled to have a meal at times, mostly relying on the deserts (like many other guests we found) as often the vegetables were hard and the pasta either hard or so soft it was sloppy. The dining hall seemed clean but there was a vent which kept dripping onto guests - the staff were aware and even told us about it, we stayed sitting at the table (unfortunately) and after being dripped on several times in a few minutes I looked up and saw a vent covered in mould. I then advised another guest family of this when they went to sit their child in that seat the following night as I was worried for their health. Silly things like the pineapple juice ran out on day 4 and wasn't filled back up was annoying. The TUI Blue app was not updated with the schedule so we often missed things for our toddler as it wasn't advertised (we managed the little ravers once and it was great but every other night we attempted to go it either wasn't on or had just been on). The main entertainment room was very hot on an evening with no air conditioning and all doors opened which was not pleasant especially with all the kids running around. All cocktails were basically syrup and not made fresh. The staff should be aware of guests who have prams etc like ourselves as we were placed in a top floor apartment near the quiet pool - we had to drag a pram up 3 flights of stairs each night and morning and try to do this while watching a toddler and carrying stuff for the day which wasn't easy - I know they cannot please everyone but it seemed silly when people who had no pram and could walk fine were on bottom floors. Most staff were lovely some staff (pool bar for the main pool in particular) acted like guests were an inconvenience. Pool bar near quiet pool was open for 1 day (mid week) and then closed again which seemed odd especially when people were waiting for drinks for a while and often going to the self service machines instead of getting what they wanted as there was no staff available or so many guests it wasn't worth waiting. The toddler pool with slides in was turned off for 3 days (Monday- Wednesday) which was not great as toddlers and babies still wanted to use this and the parents had to splash water up the slides so they could go down instead of having the water running.
