The staff were exceptional, the accommodation was better than expected

The staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble, hotel needs a little work but still had a fantastic holiday.

Fantastic location, cheery staff, views second to none , extremely spacious accommodation.

On arrival at the hotel it seemed everything was lovely and helpful. From the boss carrying our cases up to our room and the cool drink on arrival. But once in our room things went downhill rapidly. We like self catering and as this one was bed and breakfast we still went with it knowing we had cooking facilities. When we came to actually cook something we discovered no cook utensils and the hob only worked til it got to a certain temperature then it would switch off. The shower head was split so sprayed water over the top of the shower screen. The door handle on going out one evening fell off in our hand which actually resulted in us being moved to another room next door. The breakfast was bought to our room we did ask for it to be 8.30 as we like to go out walking before it gets too hot. Some days I think we got forgotten and had the residue of everyone else’s trays. It started if great with yoghurt and fruit and omelettes. By the last day we had one pot of yoghurt a bowl of dried oats no fruit and dried bread!! The swimming pool was full of bugs and flies. The pictures weren’t what was advertised on the website.

Bathroom smelt terrible. The loft bedroom required to be accessed by something comparable to a step ladder. Bedroom floor so creaky it could wake the dead when walked upon.
