    Lovely room, spacious and everything we needed was there. The bars were great, premium brands only. Restaurants plentiful, delicious food and we didn't have to book in advance

    This hotel is incredible. The staff can’t do enough for you, the resort as a whole was stunning. Everything was in excellent condition. Food, drink and entertainment were also great and exactly as described.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ THE PEOPLE MAKE THIS PLACE! – An Incredible Stay at Secrets Akumal ❤️🌴 11 nights of amazing service, incredible people and unforgettable memories! We stayed at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya from 17th–28th August 2026, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. The resort is beautiful — spotlessly clean, spacious, with stunning gardens, fantastic pools and an amazing beach. The beach was clean and the water was crystal clear, making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Our room was cleaned every morning and evening, and the whole resort was extremely well maintained. There was loads to do during the day, including turtle painting, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, ping pong and water basketball. The entertainment team were brilliant and made everything so much fun. The evening shows were also excellent, followed by a relaxed, chilled atmosphere — the perfect way to end the day. The food was fantastic, especially the live cooking around the pool areas, where the staff were friendly, entertaining and provided great food and service. But honestly… THE STAFF ARE WHAT MAKE THIS RESORT! ❤️ 🏆 Special Shout-Outs Gina & Katina – Building 9A Absolutely outstanding! They looked after us throughout our entire stay, checked on us every day, got us a power bank when we needed one, arranged a poolside bed and even helped with a special wedding proposal request in our room. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Two genuinely lovely people who went above and beyond for us. ❤️ Ruben, Alonso & Isaac – Pool Concierge Fantastic guys around the Infinity Pool. Always friendly, attentive and ready to help. Ricardo & Cruz – Pool Staff LEGENDS! 😂❤️ These guys went above and beyond. Funny, friendly, helpful and always making sure we were happy. Without a doubt, some of the best service we’ve ever experienced. Alfonso – Himitsu Such a lovely and friendly guy who looked after us brilliantly. Alonso – Seaside Grill We believe his name was Alonso — absolutely fantastic! He helped make our engagement meal/date night special, was so friendly and attentive, and even joined us for a selfie! ❤️ And a huge thank you to Erik, Alan, Anthony and Oscar from the entertainment team. Great guys, brilliant banter and they made the activities so much fun. Also, all the ladies on the entertainment team were amazing — so welcoming and friendly. We’re sorry we didn’t catch everyone’s names, but thank you! And “Ally, Ally, Ally, Ally” will forever be stuck in our heads! 😂 She was so cool and sweet, especially being new to the hotel. ❤️ WE’LL BE BACK! We met some of the best people from all over the world during our stay and made memories that we’ll never forget. We came for a holiday… and left already planning our return. Hopefully one day soon, we’ll be back for our honeymoon! 💍❤️ Secrets Akumal has everything you could want from a luxury holiday — beautiful surroundings, amazing food, fantastic activities, a gorgeous beach and brilliant facilities. But above all else… THE PEOPLE MAKE THIS PLACE. Every member of staff we met, from morning until night, made us feel welcome, valued and looked after.
