    The accommodation was still being upgraded The grounds need to be tended to Very basic rooms .no tea/coffee making facilities.

    Hotel recently reopens following refurbishment works . Theeebworks were far from finish with works being carried out across the resort whilst we were there . The alacaet reterauntvwas still closed for refurbishment to be completed . We were not advised by tui about the works still being completed or that some facilities were not avaliable

    Room was a good size, bed was very comfortable and clean. All other furniture was modern and clean. We had an issue with significant amounts of ants and one cockroach in our first three days and had to request additional attendance from maintenance and cleaners to properly deal with them, which they managed at third attempt. The bathroom floor and toilet could have been cleaner, the same effort was not spent on the bathroom on cleaning as it was on the bedroom. The restaurant offered a wide choice of food, but not always the best quality and we found several instances of undercooked meats including chicken. There were insufficient serving utensils at the buffet finding that often there was as few as one per four dishes leading to cross contamination of foods. Labelling was not always present on all dishes, and zero consideration was given to allergy risks. Personally I pushed away and did not consume chicken that I had concerns about where it was not thoroughly heated or cooked through. Restaurant staff were all friendly and welcoming. Bar same, mostly also friendly but almost all inexperienced in serving alcohol - beer served not chilled, spirits given in large measures, with no ice and tiny amounts of mixers, none of it cooled. There was no consistency in the way drinks were served, all depended on glasses available and who was serving.

    Everything was great, all staff are amazing & carry out their duties to a high standard. The Hotel had been refurbished in areas like the foyer the lounging areas the dining area & bar areas along with public toilets, outside court yards The areas to sit - the furniture was all! Brand new very modern and comfortable with attention to detail with soft furnishings around the hotel The hotel is currently still under renovations around different rooms & building tradesman are working inside the hotel grounds & at different rooms working the hotel. what I am wondering is why I wants made aware of the building work going on when I rent your TUI store in Metrocentre Gateshead’s to see if the hotel had been refurbished , your staff member told me yes it had been renovated in places around the hotel but she didn’t highlight there was still tradesmen carrying out building work at the hotel. This type of work should have been highlighted on the TUI APP for the hotel. This was the only issue I have with TUI not telling me when I asked the question.

    Smelly air con, cockroaches, smelly sink, dirty plunge pool no wifi Entertainment staff enticed my boys (17 &. 19) to near hotel, trying to for prostitutes onto them, intimidating them to buy £200 worth of vodka. There is no excuses for this behaviour.
