Upon reaching the accommodation myself and my sister checked in fine and went into our room. The lock on the room was barely held in by screws, it was a sliding lock that really worried us about our security. We were also on the ground floor of the Riad. The location of the Riad made us feel very on edge, I have visited marrakech before, however not stayed in a Riad. When exiting the Riad, young men would be stood around directly outside and the location was central to the markets. To get anywhere we had to walk through the markets- we understand cultural differences, however even when it came to our private transfer back to the airport after our holiday, the hotel staff walked us to our taxi and left us there. A local taxi driver stopped and said it isn’t safe to be here at this time and proceeded to help us ring the taxi. We didn’t actually have any transfer details from the tui app, the hotel staff said to message the taxi man who dropped us off, in this case he said his friend would come. When we got to the airport the taxi wanted money but we insisted we had it included in our package with Tui. The experience made us feel very overwhelmed. We did also try to ring customer service for a hotel change in order to change to a place where we felt safer, I spoke to a lady who was co operative and made us aware of the time it would take to process this. We reluctantly said yes despite the small length of time we were there. We were never contacted within the time of 24-48hours that we were given.

Excellent accommodation. Riad was beautiful, room really spacious and well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

RIAD - maurisch / orientalisch gestaltet - wirklich sehr schön sehr nett. Das Strassenumfeld in der Medina ist für Europäer natürlich etwas gewöhungsbedürftig und brachte auch manchmal etwas üble Gerüche hervor. Also alles hautnah. Ein Riad näher am größten Martplatz \"Djemaa el Fna\" wäre dahingehnd ggf. besser gewesen. Ab erwie gesdgt das RIAD selber war ein Träumchen von 1000 und einer Nacht.
