Clean, spacious room. Staff in restaurant friendly and very helpful. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Food good although more labels needed to help vegetarians. Canteen atmosphere in restaurant unpleasant so ate outside. Evening shuttle return too late to be useful but good service and drivers in the day. Resort very quiet in the evening. Offer of some water sports equipment would be good such as snorkels or kayaks. Overall pleasant stay

Pietrablu Resort & Spa CDS Hotels Polignano a Mare, Italy ... ••••• Ants and lukewarm food spoiled what could have been an enjoyable stay October 2026 My partner booked this ten-day trip for us via TUI. We had an issue with ants in our room (bedroom, bathroom and lounge) which we reported over several days until they changed our room. The replacement room in a different block had EXACTLY the same issue. Reception confirmed upon departure that ants had been an issue before. We were half board. The room was generally clean as were the public areas. There was no bar service at the pool - it was all self-service. The food in the main dining room varied from quite good to distinctly average and sometimes the choices on offer were just bizarre. A bigger issue for me was that the food was always LUKEWARM at best. Maddeningly, coffee wasn't available in the evening. Most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Five of them tried to sort out our problem with electric plugs and they succeeded. Although there were a few exceptions, with some bar staff being particularly surly and miserable to the point that I didn't want to use that bar. The shuttle bus to the town of Polignano was very useful and reliable. I don't think that its five star rating is at all deserved. I would put it at a four star and even that is stretching things a bit. A footnote is that TUl used Ryanair for flights both ways and again all I can say is that their rather grumpy cabin crew don't seem at all focused on the passengers, not even making eye contact with me on the return trip.
