Maitenance / House keeping was slightly lapse. Shower head in bathroom clogged with limescale.making the over all shower very weak. Room safe was already locked when we arrived from I guess the previous guest . Aircon suddenly stopped working due to it tripping on fuse board. Toilet flush started leaking water down the wall and covering the floor. All these items were rectified by the maintenance man Hamza and with the help from Nicki the receptionist. Next day we noticed a new shower head had been installed by Hamza. Brilliant service. Few days later had to recall Hamza as we felt water pressure was low. He came and removed an orange sealant that was still left inside the new shower head and hose. Problem solved.! Last day water then started pouring through the ceiling above our toilet from apparently the room above. On this particular occasion the problem was not dealt with as efficiently as before. Called reception and was told maintenance was on his way. He didn't come. So we called again and still no one came by this time we were worried the water would go into the ceiling electrics. and the water was spilling out of the toilet floor into the room. My husband had to go to the reception and was told by the male reception manager ( whose English wasn't as good as it should have been for a manager) that maintenance was already on route to our room. He didn't come. I then called reception myself and spoke with the male reception manager who seemed very indifferent to our problem. I insisted that someone come to our room and explain but was told the water had been stopped on the roof (?) so all was good now even though we hadn't had a clear or full explanation at this point as to what had happened. I asked the house cleaning lady who I found along our corridor and was doing turn down service to come and help with the water on our floor with our used towels. On departure the male reception manager made a point of making himself known to me by appearing from the back room and offered me a gift of local oil. I thanked him. Then he ruined it all by saying he wanted me to accept the small gift - even though he accused me of raising my voice on the phone to him the day before!. How is that a sincere apology for how he had handled the previous days water leak situation or even a customer recovery. We obviously felt it was totally incorrect, insulting and a back handed gesture. We refused his small gift that I presume all guests get offered on departure. The friendly staff that we had made friends with were all in reception to say their farewell to us and you could see how embarrassed they all were with him, as we had made friends with everyone and all hoped we would return. I expressed to the Hotel Operations Manager Ellie our displeasure on departure, you could see she was also embarrassed by his conduct. . Such a shame that after all the good the other staff members had shown us that this one individual had undone all that good in such a unprofessional moment. I genuinely believe he is the wrong person to be a reception manager and sadly we left feeling hurt insulted and deeply saddened. Feeling we would seriously reconsider whether we would return there again as planned.

Tired and wobbly fittings in some places, luxury in others. Inconsistent.

“Fantastische vakantie!”

Wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad bij Olea All Suites Hotel op Zakynthos! Het eten was werkelijk uitstekend en elke maaltijd was een feestje. Daarnaast willen we speciaal het personeel bedanken: iedereen was ongelooflijk vriendelijk, behulpzaam en zorgde ervoor dat we ons direct welkom voelden.

We verbleven in Olea All suites op Zakynthos. Prachtige omgeving, ontzettend lief en behulpzaam personeel. Uitermate luxe kamer met privé zwembad. De heenvlucht heb ik een lager cijfer gegeven ivm vertraging en het vliegtuig van een ingehuurde maatschappij. Dat is dan ook het enige dat ‘beter’ had gekund. Verder was dit een hele fijne vakantie op een prachtige plek. Ook d excursies waren zeker de moeite waard, net als het bezoek aan Zakynthos stad en het huren van een auto om het eiland te verkennen en mooie, niet al te drukke, strandjes te bezoeken!
