    We stayed at Hotel Oceanis in Ixia. On the plus side the location was good there was a private beach across the road. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were welcoming and the food was good. Now, unfortunately, the bad is that the service provided at the pool well there is no service of what there was poor service. The food quality at the pool is poor and it was a case of help yourself. I’m not to sure if wine and beer should be self serve as anybody of any age can help themselves and no member of staff would notice. To deserve a 4 star service it’s nice to be table served if given the option even if you have to wait a short time and have a friendly service. I felt there was not enough staff employed to give this service. As of the bar staff service that was given was not great it was the case of get the drinks out as quickly as possible with no thought to presentation and care. Wine was on draft a choice of one red one rose and a red wine. The red wine drinkable once at room temperature and not chilled. There was a policy of no sunbeds to be reserved with a towel and this was a rule that was definitely broken by the hotel. A couple of times a sun bed was not available. There was a hotel room service bins were changed daily but apparently clean towels are provided twice a week but not once in both of our rooms were the bathroom towels changed. It’s a shame pool/bar service is not as good as the restaurant. Over all I don’t know how this hotel can be rated as 4 star more likely 3. We have stayed all inclusive at a hotels which are 4/5 star and the service has been far better.

    Great food and local drinks and staff Room wasn’t cleaned that well as left used glasses and old food in fridge Be good to have a non smoking area around pool
