Limited food options from the bar at the hotel, especially if gluten free Bar food was nice but limited, would have preferred a wider menu to avoid the necessity of going out. More Gluten free snacks on the the flight please

Probably the nicest hotel I've stayed in (that's some compliment!) - Greek hospitality at its best. Nothing posh or pretentious. Lovely and relaxing. Small room but adequate and comfortable, and surprising amount of storage. Views to die for from everywhere!!! Yes there are steps, steps and more steps, and steep hills between steps...... but the hotel is on 3 levels and would not have its character if it was otherwise. Lovely pool, great bathing areas and access to sea - but beware of sea anemones - I was badly stung when a wave knocked me against the rocks when getting out and had to have medical treatment. But the hotel staff were amazing and the hotel driver took me to the local medical centre. The hotel is a bit remote but has a shuttle bus service to the local beach and into Ipsos (what a dump). If you want life and noise you would hate the hotel, but we like peace and quiet and lovely views, with nice wine! The evening menu was limited although what there was was lovely. So you needed to eat elsewhere now and then, hence the trips into Ipsos, which is a noisy road and a skinny beach, basically. The weather was so hot we didn't feel like moving from the hotel much. Breakfasts were pleasant, we ate out on the terrace. There was Greek dancing one evening a week. Gorgeous hotel. Loved every minute except for being stung.
