    “Super wakacje :):)”

    “Geweldig”

Heel mooi hotel. Indrukwekkende hall. Heel proper. Er wordt constant geruimd en gekuist. Voldoende variatie in eten. De a la carte restaurants mochten iets meer zijn. 2 zwembaden waarvan 1 met animatie. De andere rustig. Ideaal.

An Exceptional Stay, with One Small but Disappointing Final Note I would like to thank the hotel for an exceptional stay. From the attention to detail to the attitude of the staff, everything was of an exceptionally high standard. The setting and views were superb, the atmosphere was elegant and refined, and everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming and friendly. The hotel clearly understands the meaning of customer excellence, and for the vast majority of my stay, this was evident in every interaction. However, I would like to share one cautionary observation for the benefit of future guests and, hopefully, as constructive feedback for the hotel. Checking out is rarely the most enjoyable part of a stay, and the convenience of luggage storage and security lockers is often essential. In an increasingly cashless world, it seems unreasonable that a guest should need a €2 coin to use a locker, particularly when they may not be carrying any cash. Unfortunately, this was precisely the situation I encountered. I was initially provided with a complimentary token for the locker, but when I needed to access it again to store another item, the token was no longer sufficient and a €2 coin was required. I returned to reception, explained that I did not have any cash, and asked for assistance. I was told that I needed a €2 coin. In fairness, perhaps I should have asked whether there was an alternative way to obtain one using my debit card, but this was not possible either. Ironically, there was a conveniently located cash machine immediately beside me. With no other apparent solution, I withdrew €20. At the prevailing exchange rate, this should have cost approximately £17. However, my bank notified me that the transaction had cost £24.17, an effective cost of more than €28 for the €20 withdrawn. The additional cost of approximately £7 was a particularly unwelcome surprise. I offered the €20 note to the receptionist, who was happy to provide change for the €2 locker fee, leaving me with the remaining €18 in cash. The practical problem was resolved, but the experience left me with an unpleasant aftertaste. What should have been a simple, inexpensive convenience had effectively cost me around £9 in total, or more than €10, once the withdrawal charges and locker fee were taken into account. What disappointed me most was not the locker fee itself, but the contrast between the hotel's otherwise outstanding customer service and the inflexibility of this particular arrangement. We live in a world where card payments can be accepted almost everywhere, yet when a guest needs a small coin for a basic hotel facility, there appears to be no straightforward solution. I offer this feedback because the hotel genuinely deserves praise for the quality of its accommodation, its atmosphere and, above all, its people. The experience was exceptional in almost every respect. It would be a shame for such a small and easily avoidable issue to leave a less-than-perfect final impression. Perhaps the simple solution would be to provide a complimentary token for the duration of a guest's luggage-storage needs, accept contactless payment for lockers, or enable reception to exchange a small amount using a card payment. These are minor details, but it is precisely
