Beautiful hotel, great food and premium drinks

Loved it. Entertainment at night was good but didn’t last long enough. Shows started at 9.30 pm and finished about 40/50 later then the theatre emptied. Definitely could have done a lot more. Daytime was fab and the team were as well just nothing going on. Best night was the pool party.

Ants, cockroaches, broken safe. A so called concierge, who should have booked a restaurant for us ended up doing it myself. Pushy marketing with intrusive questions unprofessional attitudes I’m not interested in a time share or becoming a member. Assumed I was a single parent, assumed my financial status, queried my marital status why I called myself Mrs, it is none their business, assumed my age assumed I was on holiday to celebrate ‘‘something’. Nosy unprofessional staff , ignored my daughter when she asked politely if she ‘could have a burger please’ server stared through her until I repeated the question. Safe did not work on first night waited notified front desk took over two hours before fixed. Asked an employee if the bus was coming to the hotel we wanted to go to the mall at 12:30 told no 1pm yet posters around the hotel said 12:30. Read trip advisor said the mall was rubbish. Asked if this was our bus which had pulled up to the hotel told curtly no and the employee continued her conversation with her colleague. Decided not to go to the mall. Rude, abrupt, dismissive, discourteous,ignorant, rude, lacking simple customer service, skills lacking social skills, the aim it seems is to fill people with copious amounts of alcohol to mask over salted or bland food. Employers cursing and swearing talking about their personal business in front of holiday makers the fast food section underneath the swim up bar staff sat on their phones at the back the barman constantly having to call them telling them they have customers. Tired of looking at ill fitting staff uniforms. Druggies standing in the sea staring at you selling cannabis, and it’s not a matter that this is Jamaica. I’ve been to other islands and it’s not in your face children are witnessing it - this is not a family friendly hotel. People selling souvenirs standing around in the sea. I came for a break a rest instead all of the above and more. I have no clue about Jamaica gate closed behind us when got to the hotel and we never left til seven days later maybe that’s the whole point but if the WHOLE island was positively promoted like other islands Barbados Grenada Antigua the workers wouldn’t behave the way they do. Our driver spent the time from picking us from the airport up to dropping us off stating all the hotels that had closed down due to the hurricane and that the Hard Rick Cafe was opening. I’m not interested in that there was nothing about the island nothing about cultural markets or centres it was boring holiday. Nothing to do nothing to see. There is more to Jamaica than drinking smoking weed rating climbing dunns river more rafting etc. Beach okay, warm sea great. That’s it. The Hibachi was a disaster 25 minutes for eggs to cook, for egg fried rice chef didn’t turn on the hot plate on, chef threw food at another table hit an American lady and blamed my daughter. Who does that professional or not, the chef got a mouthful from the American lady she didn’t apologise just laughed. The desserts at all restaurants were foul pistachio ice cream was a turquoise colour! And vile to taste! Won’t be returning to Jamaica not interested in drunk people, druggies staff cursing and swearing nothing for the kids to do other than some tired beat up equipment. It was tired needed rederating

Holiday what not up to standard food was not cooked proper ,and was cold ,cup was not clean proper tiles missing at bottom of pool and the swim up bar over looking the sea where u could look out to sea was full of bird ********** all the time and wasps floating in the pool and we ask for garden view or terrace we got over looking a road with a wall with barwire over it ,and what I payed for my holiday was not a five star hotel and we told manger about the food and they asked me do I want anything else but that put me of for the rest of my holiday
