The accommodation was lovely but it was upper mountain and you could only access it by taxi your shuttle bus it’s definitely not suitable for people with accessibility issues or a disability. It’s not very walkable. There’s no Safe pavements too and throw at the mountain where their accommodation is based. The venue was beautiful and it was very scenic had the most amazing sunset. The food was incredible. There was lots about the accommodation. I liked the cleanliness the friendliness of staff the view it was great and the only downside is we were a couple and we didn’t have children and everything was family orientated around youngsters really young kids. The shuttle bus stopped at 7 pm which made it harder. I mean if you had when you wanna come back early maybe and use the you know the entertainment on site where is actually entertainment was sort of child facing which just wasn’t sort of suitable for two adults really and with the shuttle bus stopping at 7 pm it didn’t there wasn’t very accessible to and from the accommodation and I wouldn’t stay there again, not because the accommodation was poor or because the staff were poor of the food was poor. It was the location the location itself for somebody who didn’t have a young family just really wasn’t suitable and yeah so overall a good experience you know but you know the indication of a bus being in there is great but there was no indication there as soft at 7 pm and then it was difficult to get transported to and from accommodation after that.

“Italiensk pärla”

Tropea visade sig vara en riktig pärla väl värt ett besök. Staden är charmig med sin bebyggelse och restaurangerna duggar tätt på både gågator och i mindre gränder. Hotellet jag bodde på, Villagio L Olivara var ännu vackrare i verkligheten än på bild. Vackra växter överallt och med magnifik utsikt över havet. Personalen var service minded och trevlig, även om en del bara pratade italienska. I receptionen var de dock duktiga på engelska. Jag åt aldrig i hotellets restaurang men kan rekommendera pizzan man kan beställa i baren kvällstid. Poolområdet var fräscht och det fanns gott om solstolar. Jag blev dock förvånad över att alla som badade var tvungna att ha badmössa. Om inte poolen passar erbjuder hotellet fri transport till stranden där man som hotellgäst har fri tillgång till solstol och parasoll. Transporten stannar även till nere i centrum fram till ca 19.00 om man vill göra stan. Tillbaka får man dock ta taxi eller så bokar man skjuts tillbaka i receptionen mot en kostnad. Jag rekommenderar varmt både resmål och hotell.

“Underbara omgivningar”

Jättemysig liten stad som vi varmt kan rekommendera att besöka. Hotellet ligger högt uppe med underbara omgivningar men på grund av sitt läge får man ta hotellets gratis shuttle bus eller taxi till stan och stranden. Det är en brant serpentinväg. Taxi till och från centrum kostade 5 euro per person. Vi var fyra personer och det ingick bara en solstol, en solsäng och en parasoll på hotellets strandremsa. Det kostade 10 euro/dag för att hyra en uppsättning till men vi slapp betala. Väldigt tråkig frukost, det var det sämsta med hotellet och vi åt även lunchbuffe en dag som inte heller var något att ha. Sängarna och kuddarna var väldigt hårda. Nästan bara italienare i staden och många pratar inte så bra engelska.

Very basic. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant and entertainment staff not really interested in Brits at all

My only couple of negative points were 1. Relating to hotel transfer o. Return journey . Clearer instructions could be given . You changed pick up in the app on the morning of pick up , but that wasn’t right and in Excellent and beautiful venue. Clean beautiful views lovely gardens Very friendly , couldn’t do more for you . Lovely food . Maybe a little more in English entertainment the venue has 3 pin European plugs not two ( which is standard) luckily the hotel could lend me one. Highlight for future.
