Great staff very friendly and helpful when required

Firstly our balcony was only a partial sea view, many other rooms had a perfect sea view, when I choose a sea view I do expect that you can see the sea from the bed all we could see was a wall. Secondly, we had no idea that we had to pre-order our evening meal after breakfast as we were not told and there was no information in the room. We had to choose from a list of only about 10 main meals, later in the day this was usually reduced to the less popular food choices. we had only 2 choices of starter, green salad or greek salad, dessert was just ice cream. From the brochure we were led to believe that the evening meal would be 'a la carte'? The food was beautiful but just quite boring by the end of the stay, mainly due to my food intolerances, so I opted for chicken leg or chicken breast for every meal. This was not what we expected.

The overall holiday was excellent. My main complaint was the breakfast it was not good. It was cold not served as I would expect with the class of the hotel. One toaster to serve the whole room warm plates to keep the food warm with plastic lids. This was not good

Hotel Porto had a great location overlooking the Port of Mykonos and a short walk to the town. The staff were very attentive and friendly. All of the hotel amenities were of a top standard and the sun beds had towels already placed on them each morning. We had half board food which was all good but the evening menu council have had more variety.

Hotel pool has changed significantly to the photo in your website. (This is more an FYI than a complaint). But as a result, the pool bathroom and shower were on a different floor to the pool and involved quite a walk. The on-site restaurant and staff were fantastic, and we feel that it is a shame that more people did not visit the restaurant and bar. I personally think that on check-in, more could have been said to promote the facilities on-site (for example, we were told nothing about the pool bar or food service there) rather than pushing various restaurants in the main town. With regards to our room, we were surprised to find that the sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom, which meant that you were going to the loo, then having to open the bathroom door and walk over to the sink in the bedroom to wash your hands! Not very hygienic! I would have preferred a kettle in the room rather than a coffee machine, but that's personal preference! A few drawers would have been useful, instead of balancing clothes on shelves! And a few more hooks to hang up things, oh and maybe a clothes line on the balcony to hang wet swimwear and towels. All in all, a lovely hotel, fantastic location, great staff; a few small changes such as atmospheric lighting in the restaurant would make the experience even better. The bar area did not feel or look like a bar, and did not encourage you to go there for a night-cap!
