As explained an old fashioned seaside hotel which we loved. Hotel room slightly dated but charming. Restaurant staff extremely friendly and efficient, especially the maitre de who was amazing.

Although I knew it was in an annexe of main hotel I had assumed it was in the grounds and not a few minutes walk away and quite isolated up a dark side street. I never saw any other occupants and as I was alone this made me a bit nervous at night. Main hotel reception claimed to have no responsibility or knowledge to deal with any problems such as when the outside lighting didn’t come on and I had to negotiate a lot of stairs in total darkness. I would not recommend for someone on their own or really anyone older like me due to having to negotiate stairs with luggage. Description did mention some stairs but there were a lot more than anticipated.

Room was in annex which wax 150 away from hotel. It was along the street and up an alley. Three sets of steps to room. The last set had no handrails. I felt unsafe on steps due to a stroke and balance issues. First room smelt of damp. We phoned you and explained issues. We were offered a move but only to room next door. Not to main hotel which they claimed was full. However number of guests and rooms did not indicate that was true. First room had uk channels on tv. Second room did not. Staff at hotel did nothing to resolve that problem. As we were annex guests we were told to see annex desk which was manned 30 mins a day. Main reception weee not interested.

Out room although clean was in desperate need of redecoration, this was listed as a 4 star hotel, it may have been a few years ago but lack of maintainance was visible. The rendered wall on our balcony were cracked very badly. There was a large crack on the internal wall in the bathroom which had cracked some wall tiles.

Everything was what it stated in the info provided. The staff were all very attentive the rooms were cleaned daily, location was great if you didn't want a lot of hustle the beach was lovely too. Ferry port was a short walking distance
