the TV in the room had sound issues and after reporting this twice to the hotel nothing was done. and there was no air con in the room which was rather hot, however the breakfast food was fine

Hotel was a traditional Spanish type city hotel and very central to everything in Puerto de la Cruz. Other reviewers were right that not many English travellers use this hotel, mainly Spanish and other Europeans but that didn’t bother me as I wanted a more authentic trip! Agree with other reviews that the hotel could do with a tad updating but I’d argue that it was part of its charm and with an update comes an increased price tag. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and plentiful. Rooms were basic but comfortable and I had to ask for a fridge and kettle in my room - which were supplied immediately. Small rooftop pool but amazing views! My room had a great view of Mt Teide! Bonus
