Modern clean hotel. Staff very helpful. Enjoyed the accommodations. Building work next door that may get started soon will cause noise. The area is developing further.

The town itself and the location of the hotel are excellent. Cavtat really is a beautiful little town with nice restaurants and offers everything for a relaxing break. Unfortunately Hotel Cavtat did not live up to our expectations. We are a family of three who were booked into a ground floor “deluxe room”. The room offered a balcony which looked on to an overgrown garden with no view whatsoever. The rooms air conditioning did not work as intended. After complaining to reception they did promptly send a technician to rectify. Unfortunately his instructions on how to operate the unit did not fulfill our expectations. It was impossible to cool the room to under 24 degrees and even when we tried to use the air conditioning it meant that the fan had to be on constantly which made it impossible to sleep. There was an illuminated constant fault message on the display unit that was not addressed apart from sticking a piece of cardboard over the display. When trying to sleep in a room that required the air conditioning fan to be on constantly and the constant bright flashing from the faulty display unit it made our experience staying in Hotel Cavtat extremely unpleasant. There was also a smell from the bathroom drain that was really unpleasant and after raising this complaint with reception they again sent a technician who investigated and concluded that it was just the “smell of water”. This again was really unacceptable. We asked on numerous occasions to be moved to another room but were told the hotel was full. This again was really disappointing as when we investigated on the hotels webpage of availability there was in fact available rooms. Overall a very disappointing experience and stay at Hotel Cavtat. Unfortunately from our experience we would decide to stay elsewhere in Cavtat if we were visiting again.
