    Recommended

    I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, so was exspecting the same, sadly the food wasnt as good as last time, some of the food repeated and was a bit bland (maybe head chef has changed), the room I had last time was high up and had full view of the keyside this time I was on the 2nd floor facing to the side was ok but not as nice as last time, some of the hall ways need painting, and the celling in the main lobby had paint flaking off.

    Disappointed that the hotel had no “beach platform “ and access to the sea. There are very few actual beaches near Opatija but many hotels have concrete platforms or decking with sunbeds included but the Admiral hotel does not. It only has a swimming pool with quite uncomfortable sun loungers! However, food was plentiful and breakfast was superb.

    Upgraded to a superior room with shared loungers and jacuzzi. Room looked the same as what was booked but access to the loungers and jacuzzi was good although assess was only for certain rooms and only by using room key, on many occasions the key want required so the area was open to anyone!
