While reception, bars and dinning room were very clean, the hotel room had mould on the walls, mouldy bathroom, no extractor fan in bathroom (hence mould), air con was not properly working, marks on walls, dusty and dirty floors (also on corridors to rooms), damaged and stained walls in corridor- needed refurbishment to meet what I consider to be a 4* rating.

Restaurant was chaotic, food choice poor and not laid out in a logical manner. Eg why was chilli con carne at the opposite end of the buffet to the rice? Why were boiled/roast potatoes on the grill section rather than with the other vegetables? Made no sense! Staff generally seemed to be doing just enough - not a smile amongst them. Very disappointing.

5 stars for the hotel, 0 stars for the TUI representative.My mother is 81 and has a physical need to use a bath every day. Whenever we choose a hotel, we always check the description carefully to make sure it includes a “shower in bath”. On the TUI website we found a hotel with exactly this description and booked the holiday.On arrival, however, there was no bath in the room. The TUI representative explained that the room description does not have to match reality and that, in order to get a room with a bath, we should have made an additional special request. Nevertheless, she sent an email saying she had spoken to the hotel manager and that they would try to find a suitable room “today or tomorrow”.After “today and tomorrow” passed with no contact from either her or the hotel staff, I went directly to the hotel reception. They told me they had received no information from the managers or the TUI representative, but they would do their best to help us themselves. Very quickly they arranged everything and we were able to move into a room with a bath.My mother had to endure a few difficult days, but thanks to the hotel team the problem was resolved. I am especially grateful to Racio and Joan, and to the whole reception team.TUI not only sold us a room that did not match the description on their website, but also failed to help resolve the situation. In future we will try to book with other companies where you do not have to make an extra request for something that is already listed in the product description.
