    The hotel was absolutely stunning, the food was amazing. The a la carte options were such a fantastic experience. The Asia oliva in particular was probably our favourite, beautiful views of the sea, wonderful service and the crispy duck was the best I have ever had. Danilia village was another wonderful dining experience, such a beautiful place and again the food was amazing. The option and quality of food in the main buffet restaurant was also excellent. The pool area outside was lovely. The service from the staff was like nothing I have experienced before to that level. Nothing was too much trouble, they were all lovely. I highly recommend their cocktails. The beach was our favourite place to go for the day, absolutely beautiful, the sea was calm and clear so you could see the fish without the need for goggles. Plenty of sunbeds. Facilities at the beach were fantastic!! The beach bar was probably my favourite bar as you could sit there under the shade with the view of the sea, listening to music having a break from the sun. There they also served lunch which had a lovely choice. You could choose to eat in the bar/restaurant area (this is where the Asia oliva opened in the evenings) or fill a box and take back to your sunbeds. The crepes and ice-cream parlour opened from 11, both these options were delicious. All in all this was the best all inclusive holiday and best holiday I have ever had. I would love to return back to this hotel in the future. Both myself, husband and 11 year daughter were sad to leave and had the most amazing time. Thank you so much Grecotel Daphnila Bay!

    Cutting corners everywhere — do not book until you've read this We stayed in room 516 in July 2026 with a young child, and I wish we'd read the recent reviews more carefully before booking, because our experience matches them almost exactly. The room. After running a bath for our little one, the floor drain flooded the bathroom as the tub emptied. We reported it, maintenance attended and told us it was fixed — and it flooded again the very next day when we did exactly the same thing. Mopping your own bathroom floor twice at a supposedly upmarket resort tells you everything about how maintenance is run here. The heat. The main building was hot and stuffy for our entire stay. The air conditioning units were all set to 29°C — visibly overwhelmed by the summer heat — and while they could easily have been adjusted, every unit carried a \"do not touch\" sign from management. This is a deliberate cost-saving decision made at guests' expense, in peak season, in Greece. On top of that, one toilet (three cubicles) serves two entire floors of the main building, so expect to queue. The food. This was the biggest letdown. Dishes at the main buffet were visibly recycled from the previous day's service. Vegetables were grilled in cheap, greasy vegetable oil rather than olive oil — in Greece, of all places. The Greek yoghurt was thin and runny, and the olives on the salad counter were low-grade and overly salty; I've honestly had better from a UK supermarket. Ice cream is only available in the evening — the freezer is physically blocked off at lunch, presumably so children can't ask for it. And the meal schedule is rigid: 3–4 hour gaps between breakfast, lunch and dinner with nothing available in between. You eat when you're told to, like a canteen, not a resort. With a small child, that's genuinely difficult. The \"all-inclusive\" service. Drinks arrive with no ice and no straw — everything is an extra you have to ask for. There is no service on the beach at all; if you want a drink you walk to the bar and fetch it yourself. Several restaurant tables are roped off for à la carte guests only, so you can be turned away from empty tables. We also had a persistent wasp problem around the outdoor dining areas, which the hotel made no visible effort to control. The pool and beach. There is a single pool, and it is kept noticeably cold — cold water is constantly pumped in, which conveniently discourages people from staying in and eases the overcrowding. Sunbeds are scarce; look at the number of rooms versus the number of beds and the maths simply doesn't work. The hotel has sold far more capacity than its facilities can support. Everything here points the same way: a management team squeezing costs out of every corner of the guest experience — the thermostat, the ice, the oil, the freezer, the pool heating, the staffing. For what an all-inclusive week here costs, we've had far better food and service at ordinary public beaches with a taverna behind them. Other guests are reporting the same issues month after month, so don't assume you'll be luckier. We won't be returning.
