    The staff at this hotel are brilliant, welcoming, attentive and speak very good English. The location, on a headland on the lake, means wonderful lake views from three sides of the hotel.

    Our room 801 was in a Annex from the main hotel and it was just by a busy road and could be accessed by the public. Also the catering lorries / bin lorries / glass collections all happened just under our balcony - plenty of photos to show you. There was a public bar underneath which we did not expect. We had not been made aware of how many steps there were to get from the Annex to the dining room - I had a knee injury and it was painful. But security was my main worry - an open door, we witnessed the public just walking through the private gardens and sun lounger areas to have nosy around.

    The Grand Hotel was luxury t a level we had never experienced (although we had never in the past spent quite so much on a holiday). The view from the room was beautiful, the food was delicious and restaurant service was excellent. The waiters and waitresses were so friendly and welcoming. The reception team were delightfully friendly and gave us information about public transport and general questions about Austria.
