    Staff friendly and helpful, hotel a bit rundown, a problem with shower was sorted but sinks were slow to empty , food was OK especially the fish but there was a evening meal where the staff were overwhelmed by the number of people who just turned resulting in long waits and very badly cooked food, I was served a meal of raw beef, staff apologised explaining they didn't have enough staff to cope with the numbers, if this is the case you either make dinning by booking the night before or employ more staff although other nights the food was was fine but numbers were lower

    It is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and swimming pools. We booked here because it's our 40th wedding anniversary and we wanted something special, 5*, but I would say it's a good 4*. The staff were amazing and welcoming and very helpful. Our room was spacious and well maintained. I would say it's traditional rather than dated, as I had read in some reviews. The quality of the food served at breakfast and dinner was excellent, but the evening menu was very limited. We also would have liked to see a separate lounge bar to have a drink before dinner, but there isn't one. The bar is in the dining area and sometimes gets a little noisy, especially when they have corporate events which happened on more than one occasion during our stay

    Helpful friendly staff who responded to any requests cheerfully and quickly. Room was large. Some of the room/en suite was starting to show its age - the reading light not working, tiles in the en suite etc, but didn't detract from our holiday experience.

    It's rated as a 5* but i would say it's 4* just down to a few small details mainly outside maintenance is a bit tired. Wooden steps up between levels had a couple of dodgy steps loose & splitting, pool tiles were a bit dingy in places, wall paper peeling slightly in mens toilet. Things i would notice as i work with interiors. But generally minor
