    The hotel was nice and clean, but we were in the middle of nowhere with only one evening entertainment.

    The hotel grounds and lobby were well kept and the overall resort was pleasant, although we didn’t get the same wow factor on arrival that we have experienced at other 5-star hotels. We stayed in a Garden Annex room, which felt quite dated and more like a self-catering apartment than a 5-star hotel room. It also required a walk away from the main hotel, pools and beach, which we weren’t expecting. We felt the room would benefit from a refresh to bring it more in line with the 5-star standard advertised. The food was a highlight, particularly the à la carte restaurants, with the Asian restaurant being one of our favourites. The service was generally good and we enjoyed the range of dining options. Overall, the accommodation was pleasant and we had an enjoyable stay, but based on the price we paid and the 5-star rating, we expected a more modern and luxurious experience.

    The entertainment in the evening was good ,but the food was a bit of a disappointment in the al,acart I found the main resteraunt was better food just lacked taste many of the staff seemed miserable except for the odd few.

    The hotel was a bit dated. Food at the main buffet restaurant was ok, some nights better than others. Food at the al a carte restaurants was very average, on two occasions we went back to the buffet afterwards. But overall the food felt mass produced (I suppose to feed X hundred people who are on all inclusive packages). I had trouble communicating with some of the staff who spoke very broken English, especially at the bars - often getting drinks orders wrong. The cocktails were terrible, very inconsistently made depending on the bartender. The pools and beach were absolutely fantastic though, and that made the holiday.
