    Not really adults only most restaurants in family hotel which were not adult only staff at hotel not interested unless you were Spanish in restaurants

    Very quiet location, cleaned daily although minibar not replenished until asked, would love to be able to choose smoke free block as our balcony constantly smelt of smoke due to neighbours heavy smoking, so couldn’t use it, No lunchtime buffet in Thalassa as advertised which was really disappointing and no evening buffet on adult side which again was a big let down for us as dont always want to book evening meal, Staff excellent through whole of hotel Beach was amazing, overall excellent place

    Entertainment was awful, finished at 11pm, same Entertainment over & over again, adult only buffet been moved to family side. Like feeding time at the zoo, restaurants had all changed on map. Not updated, had to ask reception where restaurants are, Selling adults only hotel vacations when it wasn't. Husband got violent food poisoning...stuckk in hotel room for 2 days & still bad on the way home. Food raw for wife. Departure airport delayed & wrong information displayed. Ongoing Building maintenance at the pool. Noice was horrendous. Didn't see a rep. Language barrier was hard work. 3rd time here won't be coming back. Couldn't even get into to the sea as slope was too steep & needed assistant to help me out. Guy was caught naked & strangling his partner on balcony & guest were screaming & shouting for security & help

    We booked to stay in the catalonia royal la romana. At check in we were I formed that the hotel buffet restaurant was only open for breakfast but was open as a al a carte on an evening. Unfortunately the Manu was very limited. We were offered the use of the sister hotel catalonia but the food quality was poor. We were also not informed of building works that were ongoing in the accommodation block close to our room. The building and construction work started at 08.30am until 5pm. Anyone wanting to sleep during the afternoon would find this difficult. The staff at the hotel were cold and rude. This is something I have never experienced before in many years of travel. I would not recommend this hotel based on the food situation. By paying to stay in the catalonia royal hotel I do not expect to have to use a lower standard hotel for meals.
