The balcony wasn't private and the sides and front of the balcony were made of chicken wire mesh; top to bottom at the sides and more-or-less halfway up at the front. All of the balconies looked like cages. Depressing. No hoovering was done, sugar and coffee wasn't replaced every day, and the bedding looked as though it had been thrown onto the bed.

There were couple of niggling issues with room safe and cattle in the room. We had to chase the hotel staff twice before they attended to the issues. But apart from that afterwards everything was OK.

Even though it was a four star hotel, I wouldn’t stay there again. Some positives were that it was clean, the food was lovely and there was a good variety. The room needed some updating although the bathroom was lovely. The hotel was a bed and breakfast accommodation although we had the option to upgrade to half board which we did. The restaurant in the evening was very uninviting with no background music and while you went to get your main course you came back to your table being completely cleared so had to move to another one. We asked for some water with our evening meal and was told that it wasn’t included in our half board package. The restaurant staff were very unfriendly. It had 2 bars one inside which was hardly ever open and the pool bar. The alcohol was of a cheap quality and was not nice. The hotel was in a good location so although we were half board we didn’t eat in the restaurant in the hotel after the first 2 nights and went out to eat. We found that the majority of the guests there were very rude and lacked respect and manners. The hotel staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful on any queries we had.
