The Berger Sport Hotel Saalbach is a very traditional ski hotel, some would say a little old fashioned, however this added to the authenticity of the stay. The room was immaculately clean and the facilities were good. The meals were generous and well presented. The stand out thing about this hotel was the people. I was personally welcomed by Mrs Berger, she and her family are supported by a carefully selected and well trained staff. Laura and Mike on reception were exceptional . Well done and thank you.

Excellent location

The room was extremely small. Couldn't open wardrobe doors fully because the bed was in the way. Hard to access safe in wardrobe because wardrobe door wouldn't open far enough because of bedside shelf. Fridge couldn't be opened fully because of bed. Balcony door couldn't be opened full because of bed. Less than 2 feet of space at sides of bed. About 1 foot at the end of the bed. No place to sit in the room. New we were in the hotel annex but the space in this room did not resemble any of the photographs on website. Only discovered other rooms in annex were larger later in the week when being cleaned.

It was a nice hotel which was central to resort. We were fortunate to have a room at the back of the hotel, which was quieter. Staff were friendly and helpful.

For the amount of money I paid, I have no complaints. However, the food was only satisfactory - not typically Austrian and the main meals rather uninspiring.
