    This is no longer a 5 star Luxury hotel. Maybe a good 3 star or average 4 star would be more like the rating. Since the partnership with Hyatt the ratings should be renewed and not using the old ratings/reviews.

    Food warm at best under heaters in main restaurant /if picked from menu and cooked to order was hot .insects need getting under control as most guests badly bitten every day

    Tired accommodation . Rooms and facilities I need of refurbishing. No evidence of any ongoing maintenance. Had to request room change from first offering as scruffy tired and overlooked by other guests rooms.

    The bins provided for waste toilet roll weren't good enough and the signs to say don't put toilet roll down the toilet weren't clear. AC unit was faulty, reported it twice. First time didn't fix the issue. Second time, we had to really convince them it wasn't working and ask for a room change. The fault was it was leaking water down the wall into the light switches/plug sockets causing them to spark/crackle. Very tired looking and in need of redevelopment. Lobby area was a very confused layout. Coba, Akumal and Tulum had a better appearance with the check in desk, bar, shops, coffee shop and evening entertainment. It all felt very cramped. Guest Experience was a little poor too with communication when we had booked a Fire Show on the last night, we had arrived at the Sian Kaan beach to find no one there. It had been cancelled without informing us. When talking with other people who were regular stayers at Sian Kaan, they had said it felt cost cutting measures had been implemented across the board such as room service, stocking of the fridge was now minimal and we now don't receive a beach bag with items to take with you. Little touches like this make it 5*. The little golf carts that run between hotels could do with being more regular and the purple line could do with having a second carriage, bit too cramped.
