Accommodation up two flights of stairs with no handrail. Showers worked intermittently. The second bed was really for a child.

We booked this accommodation as we had read good reports but were disappointed by our experience. The owner was the only member of staff to speak English and there were only 2 other people. The room was adequate but not much furniture and not so clean. Bed was comfortable and shower good but hardly any plugs and no drawers. Also there were a lot of steps. We were dropped at the road side to a really poor entrance and had difficulty with the cases. Breakfast was very limited. We did not eat at other times due to other guests complaining of poor standard meals. Finally the hotel is located next to a smelly stream which must be inhabited by numerous toads which were extremely loud through the night along with nearby properties with dogs barking.. Would definitely not reccommend this hotel.

We booked and paid extra for a sea view room but we’re not given this as the sea view rooms were already booked. We were given a side sea view which overlooked a garden although you could see some of the coast. The resort rep said this wasn’t something g she could deal with but in the small print if you can see any coast this is classed as a sea view. Before taking peoples money I suggest you make the small print larger if that is the case.

The room was spacious and mostly clean, with towels and sheets changed regularly. However, the number of steps we had to climb to get to our room and also the main hotel building was hard work. We are not disabled, but do have arthritis, and we found it difficult, especially with suitcases. Breakfast was very limited. We could have bacon and eggs, which were freshly cooked to order, but got a bit monotonous after a few days. Some baked beans, sausage and mushrooms would have been nice! Water melon was available every morning, and sometimes ordinary melon. There was also yogurt with bits of strawberries in it. There was bread fresh from the bakery and also sliced bread if you wanted toast. Jam and honey were available, and some cereals. Every morning there was orange juice. Coffee and tea were available, but the tea wasn't very nice. Fortunately I had taken my own tea bags. We had dinner at the hotel one evening, but I had the chicken teriyaki, and although the menu said that it came with green pepper, all the rice had in it was a bit of spring onion. My husband had the beef stifado, which he really enjoyed. The pool area was very nice, with lovely new padded sunbeds, and there was never a shortage of them when we needed one. The pool was very clean, but could have done with a rail at the side of the steps to hold on to.

Hotel location perfect but with faults depending on where you're placed, surroundings lovely , veiws stunning, breakfast plentifu.l Rooms - we had a garden veiw which is basically a wasteland. The general comsensus after talking to other guests is that they are allocated by age or boat ownership. That was their words. Hotel owner - ageist , unwelcoming and prefares people of a certain calibre ie older and boat owner. His behaviour is adaptable given the type of demographic that books in. But its a lovely place with money spent on the sunbathing area. I wouldnt recommend this place under the current ownership as this does not encapsulate the warming , welcoming hospitality which we know and love in Greece.
