My partner and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon in June 2026. We were quite excited and had read reviews and looked through the hotels images both on the booking app and on their Instagram. We had even messaged them on Instagram to ask about their spa services which they replied very quickly to. The first issue that stood out was that some of the photos they were using to advertise the hotel had been doctored, they showed the hotel in an isolated area which it is not. This did not surprise us as we had looked on maps and seen the village and other hotels next to it but the use of those doctored images felt wrong to say the least. When we got to the hotel everything seemed fine but we did get sprung with the room tax charge. We are now aware this is a standard thing in Europe but we hadn’t known at the time. When we got to our room we noticed it was quite small but nicely located in the section of the hotel which included the buffet and access to bars and one of the pool areas. We could see a staff area from our balcony but that was not a major issue. The first issues we experienced in the room was on the first night, several of the lights would flicker and there was a smoke alarm almost right above the bed that flashed very bright, green lights every few seconds. There was a second red flashing light toward the door in the room but as it was kind of open plan this was noticeable when we were trying to sleep as well. The telephone also had bright flashing lights and had to be unplugged. To move on from the room for a minute our next experience was the buffet. My partner and I are a little picky with food due to chronic illness and other reasons so this may not be applicable to all but we found there were not many options, there was enough that we always found something to eat but then the quality of the food was not always great. Some things were very good but others tasted and looked like frozen cooked food. My partner who is lactose intolerant was pleased to see sorbet offered almost every evening and we had spoke to another couple who had a gluten sensitivity and was told the chef would personally come out and go through each dish to say what he could and could not eat which was very good. One thing we did both notice though was that the drinks service (both in the bar and the restaurant) was very slow and you often had to try get the attention of someone to come over. At the bar after waiting for a while we did try go up to the bar to order and was told someone would come get our order and so we could not order there. The drinks were pretty standard and they did have a good selection of drinks which were all available on the all inclusive menu. After our first day we did notice another issue which was the cleaning service in the room. At a resort rated 5 stars and at the price point it was we were surprised when all the cleaning staff did was make the bed (they did not change the sheets or put the decorative pillows back). The only bin in the room was a small bin in the bathroom and on multiple days we noticed that they did not take out our rubbish (empty cans/ tissues et cetera) also on the third day a bird had clearly flew into the glass door on the balcony and we were left with the imprint on the glass the entire week. Up at the pool near and including outside reception there was always a horrid sewer smell and so we did not venture up there very often. We did spend one day on the beach as well but due to some rough weather the day before there was shredded seaweed being washed up that formed a pile and made the waves look muddy or oily and so we did not really enjoy venturing in. We do understand this was not the hotels fault but it did not help the overall vibe. We did also go to the spa one morning and both had a massage and enjoyed the facilities which were very nice and definitely worth the visit. Although we did feel rushed out once we had completed our massage. The best part of our holiday however was when we rented a car from a third party company who was always in the reception and had cars parked in the hotels parking lot. We rented a little Kia Picanto for two days and throughly enjoyed road tripping around Corfu and seeing a bunch of different cites and towns. The car renting experience was very painless. Overall we were disappointed with the hotel and felt the prices and ratings were not accurate to the experience we had. Towards the end of the holiday we had been getting frustrated and felt a little scammed by the experience. There were no major issues but a lot of smaller things that stacked up. To list a few: poor cleaning service, intermittent power cuts on the last day, damaged flooring in the room, no clean towels or bedding, flashing lights in the bedroom, some food and drink quality, not fully restocking the mini bar every day. It is worth noting we tend to avoid complaining, however we spoke with another couple who we shared transfers with to and from the airport who experienced all the same issues as us and more as they were on the ground floor putting them closer to staff areas which became loud early in the morning and late at night spoiling the relaxed nature. They also told us they had reported many of the above issues to reception and maintenance and were met with apathetic staff who didn’t seem to care. Our overall feeling was the hotel was fine, but certainly not what we felt was promised from our research. It is disappointing especially considering the resort only opened just over a year ago. We will not be going back to this hotel or recommending it to others as there are plenty of other places you could go to which are much better for the same or less prices.
