    Positives- the restaurants in all inclusive package were brilliant. The shops on site were great, the Greco Farm experience was amazing (although got bitten to death, citronella candles perhaps needed!) The kids pool was good, slides brilliant, and the overall cosmetic was great, the beach bar service and main bar service also great. Extra credit to the pavilion, and large trattoria staff, they were brilliant accommodating food menus for my autistic children. Also the para-sailing on the beach was brilliant, and they accommodated our children. You got jetski'd on a huge inflatable out to the boat, then the boat ride and parasailing, then back in reverse so felt like 3 experiences in one which was an amazing early evening experience, even my 5 year old loved it and my 9 year old did the parasailing too! Wonderful memories made. Negatives: Although the buffet restaurant was good for adults, we found it very poor choice for children, especially in the evening, and the staff not as attentive and had one very rude encounter on my first morning. The rooms were very dated and basic for price and 5 star and did not match the hotel grounds standards- the toilets on the beach were far more luxurious than the rooms! And the shower floods the bathroom as is a fall hazard. The entertainment, overall was poor, especially for children at night, with many nights nothing on in summer holidays. The only poor food we had at a main restaurant -you actually paid extra- was the Antica, and the coffee shop on-site is not included which was frustrating, also some drinks on the menu's were not in the all inclusive package, but was not clear until you ordered- could be at least indicated. There also was not enough sunbeds by far, causing full sunbed wars, especially the children's pool area. The reception staff were incredibly rude on multiple occasions, they were not accommodating for late check out and made to feel you were difficult asking to pay for a room upgrade- when despite claiming rooms full, the hotel was not as busy on the last half. You are made to use the spa facilities to get ready when flights were 1am (no other tui flight option, especially as we landed at 3am the otherside) and not geared up to get ready in with children at all, you feel an inconvenience, which when paying a lot of money, is not how you want to feel. Once checked out of the hotel at 11am, the hotel deactivates your app and do not give you an alternative code to use as its all hotel numbers to get any drinks or food- which results in the staff being incredibly rude and hostile when trying to get food and drink, especially when we had paid for 7 full days and nights, and was a true 7th day. One of the staff at the King Minos, same staff member from the restaurant the night before, even called my husband a Greek swear word but smiled, not knowing he understood it, not what we expect from a 5 star hotel at all. So, I will not return or recommend, especially if you have children or late flights. Also check the hotel website for room layouts, as we didnt realise it was 1 bathroom vs 2 bathrooms for the one grade up, which would have saved a lot of very uncomfortable conversations.

    “Tolles Hotel, super Service aber anfangs kein schönes Zimmer”

    Das Hotel ist wunderschön, der Service wirklich spitze und das Kinder- und Unterhaltungsprogramm auch super! Wir hatten die ersten zwei Nächte ein schreckliches Zimmer. Nach sehr häufigen Beschwerden unsererseits (Tui konnte hier leider nichts bewirken) konnten wir doch die Hotelmanagerin erreichen die uns ohne Aufhebens sofort ein neues und sehr viel schöneres Zimmer gab ohne Aufpreis oder ähnliches. Am Ende also doch ein toller Urlaub und tolles Hotel, aber die Zimmerwahl sollte durchdacht werden.

    Top Hotel, wunderschöne Anlage mit Pool direkt am Strand und Direktblick auf Palmen, Strand und Meer. Schöner Kinderpool mit neuen Wasserrutschen. Rethymnon mit dem Bus in 15 min bequem erreichbar. 1km entfernt schöne Strandpromenade für Joggingrunde in die Stadt. Ausgezeichnetes Essen, Getränke und Mittagessen wenn nicht All-inkl. gebucht sehr teuer. Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen aber ok.

    “Familienurlaub im Creta Palace - Juli 2026”

    Die Deluxe Bungalows im Creta Palace sind total veraltet, teilweise laut (Kühlanlagen), Ameisen und unangenehme Gerüche aus Gullis trüben den Eindruck. Abendprogramm ist für ein Luxusresort zu schwach. wenig Showtechnik, wenig Atmosphäre und sonntags selbst in der Hauptsaison kein Programm. Insgesamt ok mit Luft nach oben. Beanstandungen werden hingenommen aber nicht geändert. - das passt nicht zum beworbenem Niveau. Ansonsten sehr saubere Anlage mit hervorragender Poollandschaft und neuem Aqua Park. Das Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich (10/10) und macht den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm. Das Essen ist gut (8/10), bietet für ein 5-S. Hotel aber noch Luft nach oben . Plastikwasserflaschen beim Essen passen zum in 5 star Konzept.
